he was very positive about my outcome even though I was at stage 4B of 5! Eleven and a half years later, I no longer have a prostate gland, and his positive outlook turned out to be accurate.

There is nothing like being told you don't have cancer after a suspicious mammogram, I know, I have had that experience too. This is great news.

When it was my wife’s turn, at age 49, it WAS cancer. Because she has/had “second class” (sort of tourist class) health insurance, even though a malignancy was detected, she was put in line, and told to wait six months while they found her an operation time slot. She was only 49, and the cancer grew aggressively while she was waiting. She survived the operation, the chemo, the radiation and the rehab, but she suffered terribly, and unnecessarily. She is a fighter, and she received unwavering support from our daughters, her mom, her friends, and, of course, me. But it was no picnic, although it was good preparation for the next time she had cancer, the second time being a form of cancer known here as “the murderer.” It is called that because it spreads quickly and silently, only showing itself when it is too late to save the patient. She was that one out of maybe ten thousand in the last two decades to survive it, due to a completely accidental discovery in its initial stage.

It was nothing it turned out, a benign cyst.

You are absolutely right to not be mad about it.

My sister-in-law had no such luck. She did have cancer. Her world class surgeon saved her breast and excised the tumor. She's a ten year survivor in remission.

Congratulations again, and once more, again, congratulations. Keep those cat shows coming.

He had to wait for a couple of months to get in for a colonoscopy. It was so hard--my husband lost his father to colon cancer and he was reliving that, too. So sorry you had to go through that, catbyte. So happy for you that you are okay!

Recently had my yearly mammo, waiting for results 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Had bc in 2011, scary times.

My mom died because her breast cancer had metastasized because she didn't find it early enough.

You can breathe more easily now. Appreciate your sharing.

I had such a sense of gratitude when I got the "no worries" result. I stress every year.

They pick up every microscopic thing which is good but can be terrifying when you get that call telling you that you need to return. So glad that yours was benign Catbyte. Now go celebrate and get out from under that worrying month.
