Had my first blade shave in awhile today.
Shaved my beard off last week because I was scheduled for a haircut to get that wild thing groomed, and I had to cancel an hour before the appointment because my back was so bad. The barber gets the beard looking so good...nice crisp lines, the right angle on the cheekbones, etc. I can't get it looking like that. So I shaved it off and now I'm back to shaving everyday.
I use an electric razor normally because I'm on a blood thinner, but today I risked it with a blade shave. No cuts.
I love the lingering smell of shaving cream after you shave.
Wasn't all of that interesting?
I hope you are all having a nice day.

(25,017 posts)Started out as a trim, and turned into a "to hell with it" face shave. I hardly recognize myself in the mirror.
I'll stick with it for a while, see how it works out. But I hate scraping that razor over my skin, so probably won't last too long.

(21,236 posts)You actually startle yourself when you walk by the mirror!
I dislike shaving as well.
I bet you look great!

(69 posts)I love the close, comfortable shaves I get. I have to use a disposable or multi blade cartridge when I travel and hate it. More irritation without the closeness.

(21,236 posts)I read that the per blade cost for those things is pretty reasonable. I've been thinking of trying one.
Do you nick yourself often with that set up?
