What would you do if you get a packaged addressed to you and it's an order you

don't remember ordering?

Received five new black pants. All the wrong size. It looks like it came in white envelope style Amazon packaging. There is a small shipping address I'm going to track tomorrow, but no order information inside.

If I can't figure out how I received it, I'm probably going to donate the pants. They're nothing I would have ordered for myself, or anyone else. Nice black jean style pants with fringy bottoms.

that I REALLY liked, but didn't order due to the cost. But they mysteriously showed up on my doorstep one day while I was out, so I returned home to find this package with the two items inside. To this day, I have NO idea why they were delivered to me. Like I said, I didn't order them; my siblings denied ordering them for me (my MAGA brother WOULDN'T have bought them for me); none of my friends and neighbors knew anything about the item, or my interest in it. I never got any billing on my credit card for them (and I check that religiously!) There was no clue to their origin in the packaging, other than the address (in China) of the company that manufactured them, and I never could find that company on the Internet, despite several intensive searches It is totally unfathomable to me why they came to me--but I'm glad they did; I really do like them, and use them often. C'est un mystere....

So, I'll probably donate them if I don't manage to track down the vendor who sent it to me.

One time I received a box with five brand new game systems that I obviously didn't order. I called VISA and it looked like someone used my card to buy them but had them sent to me by accident or stupidity. VISA didn't charge me and they gave me info to call the store or dealer who made the sale. They gave me a UPS label to send them back. They were pretty upset about losing a big order. Another time Tiffany's in LA called me and asked if I purchased a $7,000 item. NO I didn't. The salesman said it seemed suspicious that a NY resident would buy this and have it sent to Texas. Luckly, he canceled the order and gave me the phone number of the customer. I had a cheap cell phone which couldn't identify me and I called and played along like I knew him, but he finally asked who I was. I told him "we're on to you" and he hung up. I used to travel occasionally for work and my card was compromised several times. The company gave us advances, so I only used my card for gas and restaurants or grocery stores. VISA was pretty good about these things and several times intercepted a payment and asked if the purchase was legit because my charges were all over the US and some in the UK and France. Also, my card was rejected a couple times and I called VISA and they thought the charge was suspicious so they let it go through after I confirmed it was me.

On edit: Someone may have tried a small order, as a test, to see if you noticed as some people pay the card without ever looking at the statements. If you didn't catch it they go for a big purchase.

If you don't need the items then donate them to a thrift store.

Each time, I contacted the sender to advise of the mistaken shipment and offer to promptly return the item. I never got a reply from the seller in either case.

And so I continue to enjoy the items: a Bose Bluetooth speaker and a good pair of Skechers shoes (in my size), each valued at about $75. I guess it's not worthwhile to an online vendor to bother reclaiming merchandise of that value.
