I posted about my friend Rory yesterday and my deepest desire to visit him for awhile

while he is still in relatively decent shape. I had one donor give $200 yesterday to help defray my cost to get there and stay for a week to ten days.

A couple of pieces of good news, he has room in his house for me so that would eliminate any hotel costs and I found a car rental through Enterprise that would cover the cost of a two week rental for a total of $560.64 including all fees and taxes! The better news is that this is a midsize pickup, which will be way better for my back, and exactly the same price as a subcompact lol.
I was also able to find a working iPad on Ebay for $115 including everything so if you want to FaceTime lol....

This is my confirmed reservation that I can cancel if I can't raise the money. With a budget of 1200 miles round trip, and an additional 400 for who knows what driving might be necessary, budgeted at 20MPG, would require 80 gallon of gas at $3.30 a Gallon would add approximately $265 for gas bringing the total to just over $800 for the trip.

If there's anything you can do to help me get to Minneapolis to spend about ten days with Rory, I would be so thankful.

I'm sorry to be asking, I don't have any other way to get back to Minneapolis for this important purpose.

Thank you for your generosity and kindness,
Love, John Mckusick
