We have 100 VCRs from olden days in a bookcase in our den and we are moving soon to smaller quarters

We no longer have the VCR player. What do we do with them?

They are VCRs of old, classic movies. 100 of the biggiies.

What do we do with them?

1. Local library? Call them. If nothing else, they might have a suggestion for a facility that could use them.

that will transfer them to DVD. Otherwise you could donate them to a library or a school.

So they collect them. Because the corporations have been canceling titles in order to take them off the books for taxes. I heard this from my cousin who is doing this.

1) Bring them with you.

2) Purchase a VHS to DVD converter (sell it later on some marketplace)

ex: https://www.walmart.com/search?q=dvd%20recorder%20vcr%20combo&typeahead=dvd%20recorder%20vcr%20combo

3) Convert the films yourself

4) Enjoy your collection!!

Still have an image of a huge bookcase with 100 VCRs in it!

... video tape can degrade over time. Those decades-old tapes might not still be watchable.

11. Frankly, I thought the same thing. Time marches on! There's a reason we don't have them now:

we get more movie channels that we use and get a vast selection of these movies.

Plus, I don't wanna sit on my butt any longer than I do already...

Going from VHS to streaming services was just one of the most recent adaptations we've learned to use.
