Would you buy this book?

I'm working on publishing a science fantasy novel I wrote and need to run some promotional material by people. An author has to be their own advertiser and there's a lot required to publish a book. I've written the back cover blurb, summary and author's bio and I'd like to get your impressions of them. Please tell me what you think. The idea is to hook the potential reader into buying the book. The title is "Rainbows Wane."

Author’s Bio

(name) is an artist, caregiver and author of the Signature series of novels beginning with Rainbows Wane. He has always loved the art of creation throughout many mediums from paints to poetic verse. (name) has an extremely visual imagination and has been building worlds his whole life; from Legos and clay when he was a child to digital illustration and novel writing as an adult. He believes in treating the written page like a canvas: playfully abstract yet keenly engaging. When not working on the mountains of projects that fill his head and home he likes to read and hike in the beautiful state of Colorado.

Back Cover

A soul divided cannot survive. The universe has been fractured and all life is threatened by the schism coursing through it. On the ramblings of a mad god, a brilliant fugitive will embark on a surreal journey to unravel this plague. His quest will span space and dimensions, art and enigma, as he discovers the truth of an extinct civilization with the power to bend reality to their whims- for a price. Awaiting him are Lovecraftian horrors, unreal weapons and perhaps the love of his life. Can he overcome the losses of his past? Can he cleanse this schism or will the cure be worse than the disease? Everything is ending, on the words of a god, he has a mere three days before everything is lost. The rainbow’s broken, the rainbow wanes.

Long Description

Rainbows Wane is a surreal and electrified dive into the limits of science fantasy following one man’s quest to clear his name and perhaps save the shattered universe.
A soul divided cannot survive. The Vaynegia created itself, going against all natural laws and twisted reality into a magnetic state of decay. This schism splits the very soul and dooms its victims to burn away. In the 24th century our hero, Sayth, is searching for an interdimensional creature who can end this plight.
Sayth would rather be lucky than good, any day of the week. But he wasn’t lucky. His luck had run so dry, in fact, that he had been framed for the destruction of a planet and told by a mad god that the universe will end in three days- and there were none better.
Sayth joins Spiral, the guardian of a pocket dimension and one women who knows his innocence. Along their journeys, they rescue two reluctant dragons; one is a pompous actress who has studied at the finest academic institutions, and the other’s a timid biological engineer who once was trounced by genetically modified fruit. Together, they traverse ancient battlegrounds, cities in crisis and surrealistic horrors, unfolding the truth of how ancient civilizations used the Vaynegia to create a society that bends reality to their whims—at a price—and discover a well-intended plot to end the universe. Can Sayth overcome the losses of his past and learn to love again? Can he clear his name and stop the mad god’s plans in time? The clock’s ticking. The rainbow’s broken. The rainbow wanes.

I'm usually up for a good sci fi yarn that's fast paced, and engaging, with interesting characters and plot line. I'm looking for entertainment, and respit from our current national nightmare, not philosophy.

I would re-think that bio, even have somebody else write it.

But, that's just me!
