My post colonoscopy meal (tomorrow)

Fasting today. I’m not really a big eater any more. I eat like a Hobbit except that mine are several small meals throughout the day.

I shouldn’t be thinking about it….but I am.
You are supposed to ease back into it.
Suggestions? What would yours be?

But I owe LuckyCharms a Subway sandwich first!

Good luck tomorrow, and remember to pull down your underpants for the procedure!

If your doctor couldn’t remove all the polyps, this would take care of the rest,

I recommend starting back slowly. Something like bone broth to start. Cooked vegetables are good, along with chicken or fish for protein. I’ve always tolerated olive oil well when breaking a fast.

Hope your alimentary canal has been working out during your hiatus. Speaking personally, I tried eating at a seafood buffet. I’ll just say this: beware deep-fried foods. Trust me on that.

gastroparesis, I so hope you do not have that...but, I was in and out (lol).
It was a quick look I guess and I was on my way home about 30 minutes after.

I got a reminder for my 10 year check up the other day. No freaking way am I going anywhere near those guys. I am fine thank you.

It is not awful at all, do not think that, but it is not something I want to repeat.

You will be out and done and fine, I just happen to be really shy with my legs up and 4 men poking around down there.

I have fantastic health coverage. I had a $28K surgery a few years ago that I paid $175 out of pocket.

One of my buddies (the 5 Guys guy) has to do this every 5 years. His father passed from prostate cancer.

Another friend did his last year and they removed 17 polyps. He’s every year now.

My last colonoscopy in July I was planning on going out to eat breakfast afterwards. But I was too tired and decided to just swing by McDonalds for some pancakes to go and then back to bed. I got about half the pancakes eaten and all of a sudden I could not swallow. I took a drink and couldn’t swallow that either. It wasn’t like I was choking as I could breathe fine. But air was leaking in my throat that sounded like a tire leaking air. My wife heard it and was scared. I threw up the pancakes which were mostly mush and settled down and could swallow again. I wonder what would have happened if that was steak instead of pancakes. I called my doc and he said it was trapped air releasing while I was eating. Rare but happens. Glad I wasn’t in a restaurant when it happened. Anyway everything else went well and never had a problem since.

If your doc removed polyps, you want to give yourself time to heal before blowing up your colon with Taco Bell.

God it was horrible. I think they’ve changed it because I remember it not being that bad. Terrible.

Years ago we made a late night run. This one guy was a bug eater. The total was $38.

PLUS their version of spinach ravioli and garlic bread and I don't share with spouse!

I've had the procedure at least 5 times so no question where to go afterwards and it's also my favored birthday meal.

and went with a tub of Bob Evan’s mac & cheese afterward. Hope your test goes well and they don’t find anything. Was going to say “hope everything comes out ok” but that’s just wrong! Because of course it did. If anyone fasts and does the prep as instructed everything comes out ok.
