I posted a quote on Facebook book about reading some obituaries with satisfaction, and got some pushback for talking ill of the recent dead. Heres my reply:
To those who are under the impression that I am gleefully tap dancing on Charlie Kirks corpse:
Kirk demonized my friends and beliefs, was emphatically against live and let live , practiced stochastic terrorism, and pushed a history of America that erased people of color and women.
Despite all this, I didnt wish him to be killed or die. On the contrary, I wanted him to live a long life so he could see the failure of his vile philosophy.
Now, I dont particularly mourn his passing, but I do acknowledge that he was part of the human race.
Any mans death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind,
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee. - John Donne
I also am exhibiting the exact amount of sympathy he had for the victims after various school shootings and gun rampages: none.
He literally said on April 5, 2023, "I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."
Since he believed that, I have no problem with -his- death being part of the price however, I will mourn the deaths of all the victims of gun violence who -didnt- agree to be part of the cost.

Epilogue
My MAGA brother texted me that I needed to see the whole Kirk speech about gun violence, and not fall prey to liberal sound bites that twist things. He sent me a link, and well if anything, it puts Kirk in an even worse light not going to waste bandwidth telling my brother that, though. Lol
