I grew to appreciate the snug, comfy confines of a hayride once I discovered the existence of girls.

I loathed the one hayride I was on because the tractor exhaust stunk, the hay was itchy, and it was boring, no corn maze because the cornfields were nothing but stubble by late August/early September, and we got our pumpkin from the local store.

Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I hated dressing up and a lot of the candy and stuff like popcorn balls sucked.

when you grow up surrounded by farms, it loses its appeal -- especially when you're downwind from a chicken farm when they're cleaning it, ugh. Or when farmers are spreading manure to fertilize their crops, lol. 🤢

That's about it.
Corn mazes weren't a thing around here until I was in my forties. I think i would have lived it as a kid.
Halloween was more a one or 2 day thing for us when we were kids.

pick a pumpkin. It starts in mid September and lasts until late October. You and Mrs. ProfessorGAC should go and give it a try.
