Birds on the brain today

As the sun rose this morning, I saw several flights of Canada geese headed south. These birds act on instinct, so this may mean really cold air coming this way. Kinda early for that sort of thing around here.

Next, while checking the status of equipment at a control panel, a pigeon pooped on my hat from its perch high overhead. Fecker kept eyeballin’ me.

Finally, I returned to my desk, performed some tasks, then checked my phone. An alert from my ‘neighborhood’ app? Goodness! Seems some person had inquired about how to ‘sex ducks’. Presumably, this meant determining whether the quackers were male or female using clues about appearance. It was not interpreted that way at first, and then hilarity ensued.
