Buy an Apple device, and you get their word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and other software like GarageBand and iMovie, for free, with lifetime updates included.

If you buy their professional software, like Logic Pro for audio recording, or Final Cut Pro for video editing, you get lifetime updates for free as well - never a subscription fee, as is the case with Adobe products or Microsoft.
