Costa Rica so there's no wildlife rehabilitator near by.

(97,798 posts)Just set it someplace safe from predators and let it revive on its own. If it doesn't, then figure out what to do with its remains.

Google what to do?
Is it alive? I've read sometimes they wake up & fly away.

(21,816 posts)If it is just stunned, it'll come too and fly to a familiar perch and sit till it feels better. If it didn't break its neck, it might survive.
I've tried the predator silhouette window clings, but they haven't really deterred the birds from hitting the window.

(52,405 posts)Massage the sides of its neck periodically, and let it rest. Make some water available in a shallow cup.

(11,606 posts)I had a hawk fly birds straight into my new sliding door and you could see the explosion, then the feathers and no body. I like having a hawk, but decided to give the birds, mainly turtle doves, a chance to survive. One year later, no impacts.

(395 posts)It must of been alright, no body, just an imprint of the bird on our window. I put up sheer curtains, so we can look out to see our little water feature that all sorts of birds use, we have a neighborhood hawk, too. I saw it almost catch a mouse a few years ago, who jumped to the deck and escaped. The circle of life. We live in the middle of of a 100+ year old neighborhood. We have foxes. opossums, raccoons, coopers hawk (I think), and all sorts of birds. We love watching the small migraing birds who stop by throughout the year.

(538 posts)I bought a bunch of stained glass pics that I hung on the windows with suction cups, one per window. Now I don't have to scrape the decals off the glass when they get junky looking. Haven't had a bird hit them since.😀

(52,687 posts)as pretty as the little green bird this post is about. I discovered the first one just sitting outside the back door not moving. I went out and still it didn't move. Then I stroked it and it just sat. I decided to pick it up to be sure it hadn't been injured by a wild animal and it flapped its wings and seemed okay. I put it back down and sat and watched it until it flew into a rhododendron bush. Eventually it flew off into the sky. This morning a smaller one flew into the sliding glass door. It was thrown for a loop but recovered almost immediately and flew off. Maybe they're mating and when they see their reflections they think it's a hot date??? I have no idea.
