if rsv, pneumovax, shingles, measles, etc. vaccines are right for them. Especially older people. Right now Medicare Parts B and D cover these vaccines, and they are easily available. Who knows how long that will continue.

Got the first MMR earlier this week. Seems as though the recommendation a time long ago changed from 2 shots to one. They went back to 2 shots again, but there’s a lot of people in the gap who are now not immune and don’t realize it. My youngish NP was surprised I asked, and surprised by the results.

I rely on the VA for my vaxxes. Hoping they still have availability this fall.

Said flu shots will be available Sept 2nd. Covid may be available.

I'm 71 so I'm sure I won't have any trouble getting the Covid shot but younger folks may not be so lucky.

But, I read the new guidance from CDC and it appears nothing changes for those over 50.
The guidance was lowered for younger people "suggested" and for even younger people a requirement for some other underlying condition. (I don't remember all of them, but asthma & obesity were listed.)
