If I were the adopter, I'd make damn sure that cat was an indoor cat.

One of our 4 loves to climb ladders. Every December, when we put up our 9 foot Christmas tree, we bring in a ladder from the garage. She goes right for it immediately. She never climbs the Christmas tree.
