checking to see if my mini skirt covered my butt!

Got my first job in an insurance brokerage in the accounting department and I remember one character, an old battleax who wore too much makeup and wigs, sporting a mini skirt, who used to bend waaaaaaaaaaaay over to get at a metal filing cabinet drawer.

A VERY FUNNY insurance adjuster who always had a quip, walked in one day........... stared at her BEHEMOTH backside and quipped disgustedly................"AH.............. same old faces." ROFL!!!

It was a time of great change and upheaval in all sectors of our lives in music, movies, TV, fashion, society, politics, and other areas. For me, I remember the change in music, especially in music. We went from rockabilly to Buddy Holly, to folk music, to Latin music, to the Beatles and The Rolling Stones and other British invasion bands, to the Beach Boys, to the psychedelic area.

Whenever I head "If you can remember the 60s, then you weren't there" I remember the school board scene from Field of Dreams.

Anne Kinsella:
And I think that if you had experienced even a little bit of the Sixties, you might feel the same way too.

Pro-censorship woman:
I experienced the Sixties.

Annie Kinsella:
No, I think you had two '50's and moved right in to the '70's.

Compared to present-day reality, the 60's were just glorious.

Now, my interpretation may be wrong; I've always thought it meant someone was in too much of a drug haze too often to keep track of things, and events.

I didn't take drugs at that point (light, occasional weed user in the '70s. Fun!). I remember a whole lot; the good, and the bad!

I was 7 years old in 1960. Some of you were older by 3 - 8, or so yrs.

The bad: The Cuban Mussle Crisis, 1968 assassinations, Nixon's election, George Wallace, The squashing of The Prague Spring, the injuries, deaths, during The Civil Rights struggles. The Vietnam War.
Our Antl-War demonstrations. [they were good that we did them, but bad that we had to]

The good: The best of JFK. The Beatles. Then the whole British Invasion (big Who fan 😄 ), and subsequent America response. The Mod fashions. Us girls, women fighting for, and getting more rights. Mercury & Gemini Missions. The Moon landing! The environmental movement emerging.

(Yawn, late here. Maybe more tomorrow.
👍 )

The 60's many adventurous times, but I made up for it in the late 70's.

Sixties. I was in grade school. Remember the Beatles hysteria, Apollo missions, landing on the moon, being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at age nine or ten-not fun at all.
