I can try, but it’s a silent snap

The little finger is hard. Hand has to be set in a perfect position.
The others are easy for me. Or were. I have trigger finger in both ring fingers, so if I snap that one, the knucklcan stay locked in the clenched position.

Being a guitar player gave me some great finger dexterity.

Nowadays, I can barely do that without pain or what you describe.

That 'trigger finger' thing is going to be the death of me. Losing the ability to even close your hand properly is devastating to someone who used them so much.

If it gets bad enough, I'll look into the corticosteroid shot.

My main issue is not my fingers. It is the loss in my entire reason for living.

Performing was my life. I have no life now.

It sucks. I am tired of it.

At 80 that's gone. As is most of whistling. I can reach three notes spaning one whole scale step and that's it now. But I can still wink.

the only thing is my whistling isn’t very good. I never figured out how to whistle with my fingers in my mouth.

One thing I can do is while wearing shoes is walk on the tip of my toes.

The others, no.
Around 3 in 4 people can roll their tongue. I'm the 4th one.

I didn't realize this was a 'special' skill?
How ever did you end up married ... ? Doesn't somebody have to wink .. At least once .. ?

Decades ago, one of my daughters learned that some people could fold their tongues. As she could, she tested her two sisters who could. Then me. I could. Then my husband who tried really hard, but absolutely couldn't.

All the rest I can easily do but those ears will not move!

… until I have a paid audience!

My twin brother could, but not me. I can curl my tongue and braid my fingers, though!

Rent myself out as a sideshow!

I can curl my tongue, wink, whistle, and snap my fingers, but not fold my tongue sideways or wiggle my ears. There's also a trick I can do when you pull my finger, but I'll save that talent for another thread...

After folding my ears and snapping them sideways, I gave up.

After spending hours contorting my face trying to all that….

I can't imagine that anybody can wiggle their ears or fold their tong sideways.

Fingersnaps all 4 but only sound on
LH middle, and ring fingers.
RH - middle finger.

But not all at the same time.

I can put my right hand out

And I can shake it all about.

I can do the hokey pokey and turn my self around
That's what it's all about.

curl it lengthwise. (I have the gene for that.) I can raise one eyebrow, snap my fingers. I can whistle, but not the loud, shrill, taxi-calling whistle.

but I can't do that either.
