Never ask for Death's ID

This is an old Hungarian folk song that sounds like it's out of the old West.

The band is from Colorado.

Spooky and great banjo.

Finds a beautiful, fast grey horse. He beds down beside a river. He has a nightmare about his death.
He awakens to find himself surrounded by 9 lawmen. They tell him they are taking his horse, because they like it. He tells them no. They press the issue. He draws, killing two of them before they can clear leather. The rest is for the imagination. Do the other 7 kill him, or back down?
