Mystery solved! A pharmacy gave me the wrong meds I've been taking the wrong meds for a week!

They put blood pressure medicine in the bottle for my antidepressant so I've been taking double the blood pressure meds, and no antidepressants for a week! No wonder I've been feeling so bad and it's been getting worse everyday!!! 😭😭😭

I'm so fucking pissed I'm going to sue someone I swear to God!

Pharmacist is currently calling my doctor to find out what they're going to do and I told them I cannot drive to pick up another prescription so they better figure out a way to fucking help me

i’m not normally fond of lawsuits, but what they did was grotesquely negligent and could have killed someone.

Hope you end up fine!

As a trained engineer, I know that any human process has a non-zero error rate, and I've frankly been amazed my pharmacy gets it right as often as they do. You hear about them getting pricing and insurance and coupon problems all the time, but they're usually solid on getting the actual meds and counts right. If there's a problem it's usually the doctor who wrote the scrip wrong.

But yowza, doubling up on bp meds can be a problem. I once accidentally mixed two of those and my bp fell so much I thought I was going to die. I went through a cycle of committing and passing out repeatedly until one of them wore off. A very unpleasant few hours.

Hope you make it through ok and the pharmacy makes it up to you somehow!

Of course they took the evidence as soon as they possibly could and I made it very clear to the pharmacist that there's no way I could drive to pick up a new prescription because I was so fucked up from their mistake. I'm glad that I also had the wherewithal to turn on my video and at least capture his giving me the medicine and give taking the other medicine and me giving him a piece of my mind about how this was so fucked up and if I was an 80 year old woman and hadn't caught that that I could seriously have a problem and I want an apology I have not said anything about suing to any of them but oh baby I am going to fuck with somebody

At first I didn't question it because I thought maybe the generic changed or something but with all of these weird symptoms and dizziness and extremity tingling and other stuff and being severely anxious and crying like seven times this morning since I woke up I knew something was not okay and it popped into my head that wait a minute I had been taking a different pill. So I went and dumped it out and typed it into Google with a small white tablet and the markings on either side and it turned out that it was the same blood pressure medicine that I take and then when I dumped out both bottles and looked I saw that it was exactly the same pill.

They literally sent somebody over immediately! The guy knocked on my door before I was even done making the videos and the pictures and I made sure to get a video of him taking the pills and giving me the correct pills and me letting him know that it was not okay so thank God I at least got that documented before they took their evidence

Motherfuckers I'm so pissed

So basically he drove here directly as soon as they found out what they did wrong. Because it only took 15 minutes for someone to knock on my door. I got photos and video of the bottles and their contents and I also managed to turn on my video camera as I answered the door without him seeing I stuck it on the table by the door but at least I caught audio of the transaction of him giving me the proper medicine and then basically taking the meds that were wrong which in my opinion is them taking their evidence because I have called pharmacies before when I've had extras of pills left over from let's say medications after surgery or something and they would not take it back so them taking those bottles is them hiding their tracks in my opinion

I'm right now I just took my first regular dose of cymbalta and they said I could take another one tonight because I normally take my meds at night.

They also told me NOT to take my blood pressure med tonight because I was probably too low. So right now I am just laying down trying to feel normal but as soon as my brain waves regulate there's going to be hell to pay!

Cymbalta doesn't just help with depression, it is often given because of people with chronic pain issues because it does something to the nervous system as well. So I'm not only dealing with anxiety and emotional, I've got gut issues nausea extremity tinglish tingling and zaps as well as pain everywhere and lethargy night sweats etc I thought I was having a massive autoimmune flare. I'm just glad that I was able to connect the dots and figure this out sooner than later! God only knows what would happen in another 24 hours...

I really hope I wake up feeling more normal I don't like this at all 🥺

Okay so I laid down about 11:00 11:30 a.m. and I woke up almost every hour feeling myself clenching my body and having to roll over and relax when I finally did make myself get up around 2:30 3:00 I had half a sandwich and I'm laying back down because I'm trying not to be nauseous this might take a while to recover from

What really sucks is that the cats don't understand and I'm out of cat food right now and I just can't drive to the store and none of my friends are around so they're just going to have to eat crunchy food and deal with it until Mommy feels better

Hope you recover soon. I definitely would consider suing. Who knows whether they may have made similar dangerous mistakes with others.

I can't walk down the hallway to the bathroom to go pee without feeling very dizzy and disoriented. Between the possibility of amlodipine overdose and the withdrawals from the cymbalta it's not a pretty picture and I could have a heart attack while I'm sleeping and I can feel my heart pounding in my jugular right now so I'm going to go get all of this documented and make sure they test my blood or whatever they need to do probably going to e kg or something

it isn't a bad idea to look the capsule or pill up on a medication identification website. It just takes a minute.
