I was out pruning my cherry tree. I have a wooden frame built around the base. My foot almost came down on these cute little guys, but I was able to jerk it out of the way in time.
The nest is hard to see, even in the photographs. It is right above my fingertips. These bunnies know how to camouflage.
Then there was another little baby hiding in a weed under my deck.
Then, a fox casually strolled down my street, in front of my house. It looked pretty ill. I'm thinking possibly rabies considering it is broad daylight on a fairly heavily traveled road.
Pics below. I didn't get a pic of the fox.

(160,684 posts)where the previous owner had created a veggie bed and surrounded it with a chain-link fence, complete with a gate (she eventually removed it a few years later though). Her yard is a literal zoo and it did keep the deer, groundhogs, and adult bunnies out of it and I helped her plant a whole panoply of stuff (radishes, lettuce, tomatoes, pole beans, etc). But I remember going over there one day to check the progress only to see a pair of baby bunnies just chilling on the inside of the fence since they could fit right through the chain-link holes. I think my sis ended up putting some netting around the bottom.
