(12,187 posts)Sorry, I didn't see this report earlier. The goddesses cannot allow another Peg to end up seriously injured. This Peg will send the goddesses a very stern note to get on the ball!
Wishing you a speedy recovery and hospital release, Peg.
Please take care.

(155,191 posts)I am indeed at home, as of this late afternoon!
I have a couple of sore places where I hit my garage floor, but mainly I'm OK. The doctors saw no reason for me to stay any longer.
I was a bit wobbly on my feet at first on coming home, but moving around has truly helped my balance and my self-confidence.
I have read every post, and will continue to do that, as long as I can!
I love you all!

(17,848 posts)I know this goes without saying, but if you have shoes that give you the slightest sense of instability, its time to toss them. My podiatrist reminds me of this a lot.
My mom and I bought the same pair of sandals on a shopping outing, and she told me she is realizing they have a looseness on her that makes her uneasy. New, but not safe, so theyre finding a new home.
So glad youre home. 😍

(8,958 posts)Had they found a systemic cause, they would be keeping her longer. I fell in 2023 - the fall didn't even hurt, but all my limbs were so weak I just couldn't get up (and I'm usually very good at getting up, whether it's from a fall or just doing something on the floor) - and they kept me over a week and only released me to Rehab, which kept me another week. I'm doing much better now.
