moved in. I had no idea what a fuse was. Our house was built during the last year houses were built before WW2 and had been previously owned by a very religious couple who belonged to a small Jewish community in our section of New Haven. I didn't even know what a fuse was. I learned quickly and we had to update our house. I was pretty ticked off at the time but I got over it.

frayed the windows came down with a thud. That was our very next improvement. However, we got nice, well fitting windows, our second improvement. Don't even ask about the kitchen stove but it was gas and we wanted a gas oven. That old oven belonged in a museum and we actually tried to sell it as a vintage item but alas, no takers. We did get a nice modern gas stove in black cuz I didn't want to clean it too often. It looks great and has only had one repair in all these years...(over 20).

It's like they slice the fish so thin, you could literally see through it, then bread the hell out of it.

Well, I don't eat the breading for health reasons, so this really made me angry.

Four wine corker things? I'm more of a beer drinker but they work for brews too so I'll only toss two.

I'm tossing four of the meat thermometers and keeping the super fancy electronic one.

Thanks for the inspiration. I have accumulated so much stuff over 40+ years and need to pare things down. I have tools from my mom that I don't use but I still can't part with yet - and she's been gone over 20 years.
