My wife coaxed the mommy inside, using the loudest kitten as bait.
Mama lived with us until the babies were weaned and the house was infested with fleas.
We had her neutered and let her go back outside.
We kept all three and they will follow my wife anywhere in the house.

We have 4 cats now. Have had 5. If I weren’t married, I’d probably have at least 6. The biggest jump is from 2 to 3. Once you have 3, it’s just, “Hey, what’s one more?”

I once commented here that it takes me about 30 seconds to fall in love with a kitten. Someone responded, “How come so long?”
