The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsGood morning my empathetic DU family,
One of the most wonderful things I see and read on DU with incredible regularity is the reader's willingness and even desire to relate and empathetically respond with love and kindness.
As you have what I hope is a wonderful day, please accept my thanks along with that of many others for your humanity.
Love, John

(4,030 posts)As you well know, I don't sleep well and so last night around two am, I got the extra special treat of letting Cuddles outside after the storms went through. Low and behold, I was teased by the first hint of cool drier air in 10 days and it felt sooooo refreshing. I grabbed a plastic bag to cover the wet chair on my patio and sat down basking in it.
Oh how wonderful.
Thank you for your sweet words that are wings for my spirit.

(4,030 posts)I got through the night ok, we got close to 3" of rain. The St Louis TV stations all gave high glory to Fayette County Illinois for hours last night as that was the only NWS warning on the screen from after 8pm til midnight. Flood and High wind warning.
We got through it and I'm hoping it's passed you guys as well. All glorious High Pressure settling in for a few days.
