and eventually they ate her out of all her milkweed plants, and a couple of other larger milkweeds types of bushes, and kept her up and ran her ragged, and yes, almost caused a divorce. It went on for a couple of years with her partner trying to help by buying her more and more milkweed plants, but there was never enough. Eventually, my friend agreed she needed to cut back. She has had to be very ruthless, if she finds an egg she destroys it, but if it's already a caterpillar she brings it in to a safe area and helps it grow and transform.
