Was visiting a chemical manufacturing site near Pontchartrain.
The plant manager, at the end of the day, took us to dinner.
Place looked liked a dump!
It was ok inside, but I ordered the crawfish etouffee.
It was so good, I would, 32 years later if they were still there, fly to New Orleans, drive there for lunch, and fly home.
It was that good!
I've been to NO a half-dozen times, & that was the best version I've ever had.
I actually make a mean etouffee myself, but not as good as that one.

BLT with Duke's Mayo. Blanched tomato slices. Toast. Any leaf green OK. Well rendered bacon.

Dessert:: Dark chocolate pudding with raspberries and whipped cream

And of course some jalapeños.

Served with really hot French fries and a really cold "real Coke" in a glass with ice.

Yeah, I know I sound like Forrest Gump, but I could do shrimp as my only protein forever.

...I ran the fish fry at the banquet hall where I worked as a janitor.
Fridays during Lent were like being in rush hour traffic for 4&1/2 hours.
We served fried shrimp as one of our menu items.
We served over 800 dinners on Fridays during Lent. Under 500 the rest of the year.

Otherwise I probably can eat shrimp just about any other way except I've never liked any cheese and related except possibly yogurt. Hmmm, not sure. Haven't had shrimp in 2+ yrs.

The Indian restaurant I was getting take out from when I lived in a different nabe seems to have gone down hill. Last year's reviews.
That's where I had the tandoori shrimp.
I'll have to recheck latest reviews. I'd take a bus to get there if they've really improved.

From a Chinese takeout restaurant in the next town. I get a large order and eat a third of it reserving the rest for a few lunches thereafter. I believe I could live in it while my number-one food choice is popcorn popped in a Whirley-Pop using Filippo Berio olive oil, drizzled with real butter and seasoned with the finest, literally, popcorn salt. Problem is, I don't think I could live on that for long.

Deb - Consumer Reports says to only have one to three (four oz servings) a week because of mercury in tuna. Way less for children and pregnant women - if any!

Because so many people eat tuna, and because of its potential risks, CR tested five popular brands of canned tuna for mercury: Bumble Bee, Chicken of the Sea, StarKist, Safe Catch, and Wild Planet. We found a wide range in mercury levels between types of tuna as well as among different brands. Light and skipjack varieties, for instance, contain much less mercury on average than albacore tuna. (Note that the type of tuna in pouches is the same as what’s in cans, but we did not test pouches.)

One big takeaway is that albacore has much more mercury than light or skipjack tuna, regardless of the brand. That’s not surprising, since albacore is larger and lives longer than the tunas that make up the light tuna or skipjack tunas. But the disparity was quite wide: The albacore products had three times more mercury, on average, than the others.

That albacore has more mercury than light tuna is well-known among scientists and seafood experts, but CR’s recent survey found that it may be news to the average consumer. About half of Americans said they did not know that different varieties of canned tuna have different levels of mercury. had , but I now have albacore. Thank you for the post and link, which I read. I will have to ask my doctor as I just finished Physical Therapy on my leg. They thought it was a blood clot. It was't.They gave me pain pills instead.

Dessert: Talenti's Double Dark Chocolate Gelato w vermouth. I don't care about the vermouth, it's only a slight taste, and not my favorite; got used to it, but oooh, the chocolate and these incredible little shards of dark chocolate "chips". While I really prefer chocolate, they make it with black raspberry. Which is quite tasty!

The advantage to this is that there are so many thousands of varieties of sausage, I could have a different one at every meal, and not repeat for a number of years.

Either: A Turkish döner kebap with marinated chicken, spicy paprika powder, crushed garlic juice. With lettuce tomato, sweet onions and tzatziki in the Syrian bread holder.

0r a grilled Japanese teriyaki chicken done with finely chopped spring onions

Or, if nutrition is guaranteed and fat and sugar are not, my grandmother used to make an unreal dark chocolate layer cake with a perfectly textured dark chocolate that was half coffee. I have never had anything like it before or since.
