What is the diff between drag and drop, and copy and paste?

I'm trying to post a photo on ebay. It tells me to drag and drop a photo. I try copy and paste. Doesn't work.

How does one drag and drop a photo that is already on eBay under another seller's listing to my eBay listing?

(selling a CD album)

1. drag and drop means the image file has to be on YOUR device, not on the internet

go to the desired image and right click and save it to your desktop THEN drag and drop it to your listing.
THis kinda stuff is best done on a real PC, not on a phone

but I know I couldn't - I'm way too clumsy with a touchpad. And it would still have to be on your desktop first.

Drag and drop does not.

Since the item to be "copied" is on the clipboard, one can paste it numerous times if desired. But a drag-and-drop is a one time operation.

with a touchpad...and the file doesn't have to be on your desktop an explorer window
with the directory the file is in is fine...just arrange the windows so you can see both the file
and the place to drag'n'drop to.

First select the file/image by clicking on it then, keeping a steady pressure on the touchpad
slide your fingertip (and the attached file) to the desired location.

Voila!
