As I was driving to my tax-filing appointment I noticed the a/c was not putting out cold air. I just learned from my mechanic that it needs a new a/c compressor, $1900. This amount happens to be almost the exact amount of my tax refund.
My question: How did my car know?

(69,599 posts)I have a 2019 Honda CRV and it was included, I got a free AC replacement.
Call you Honda service center before you pay one penny.
They have already put it in. I have received a few recalls, but not that one.
Damn, damn, damn.

(69,599 posts)I did the same thing. Got it repaired before the recall came out.
I had to contact the general Honda service line, and there was paperwork to fill out
and a bit of a hassle. Your Honda service center has to fill out a form for you too.
I did it all online.
But I stuck with it and got the entire $1800 reimbursed.
I don't remember if the 2018s were recalled or not.
Perhaps not, if you did not get the recall notice.
But the AC units were faulty for the CRVs around that time.
The compressor was bad.
I would call the general national Honda service line.
Or look online.

(7,485 posts)It's that simple. Oh, did I mention that DJT has an interest in the parts manufacturing company, so he gets his grifters cut?

(15,598 posts)And they knew the exact amount.
For example if I had gone to the bank and withdrew $50, one would ask for 25 for the book fair, another 10 for a deposit on the yearbook, another owed 12 on their lunch account.
Every time. They would at least leave me with enough money to buy 1 beer
