How many times must I wreck a robins plan to build a nest right next to my front door??

It’s been 3 times so far. Normally I love birds building next to my home, not this time. I’ve mentioned here how fun it is to watch the doves in the robins nest in the back area of my home. Just can’t allow the robins to nest right next door to my front door. So, how many time must I wreck it’s plans before it gets the message that she can’t build here??? Thanks.

She's claimed it as her own. Can you put something else on the spot to make rebuilding impossible? I had a robin's nest just outside my sunroom, in the crook of the drainpipe from the eaves. I had the pleasure of watching at the moment her babies decided to go out on their own. They were nearly fully grown, standing shoulder to shoulder on the edge of the nest, seemingly discussing whether Mom was coming back with groceries. At the same moment, they took off. So amazing. Another robin built a nest on that spot the following year, but a spring storm blew it away.

Maybe shift the bits of nest to a flower pot you can move? Maybe a hanging one? Just spit balling here.

12. Robins are one stubborn bird - they will go on indefinitely building nests next to your house.

I have had Robbins build a nest on top of a tire (vehicle did not move frequently), on outdoor lights and in our garden. They dive bombed me each time we went into the garden (had to use a hose with water to keep them at bay). The goofy thing is that these birds come back year-after-year and start the process again.

Is the nest in your way or obstructing the door. If not, why remove it?

It is thought a Robin nesting at your front door is good luck.

I've been waking uo to their little chirps as they tell eachother what to do next. And little scratches and pecks like a woodpecker, LOL... I'm gonna paint the house this summer, so any damage can be fixed, and it will be nominal.

I love my little chickadees, I feel honored to be hosting them!

And for several years, a robin built a nest in the wreath. The shop owner had customers use another entry until the nest was empty.

I have robins nesting in my back yard every year, but we don't get in each other's way. I love watching the parent birds try to teach the young ones to eat on their own. Such patience!

the rental rate outside your door? If you price the robin out of the market, it will have no choice but to move on.
