The need for cuddles is strong with my golden retriever chonk.

Been sleeping in recliner of late had a surgery and Dunc the chunk is suffering Dunc and father bed cuddle's withdrawal.
So we’ve figured it out in that my son 20 has moved recliner next to the couch.
And now Dunc will sprawl out backside on arm of sofa and lay on arm of recliner on a pillow i put there with his head on my lap and sleep.

And every morning since we’ve found a solution to cuddle issues my sweat pants are soaked with Dunc sleeping drool. I just toss them in the wash my furry boy is a best boy.

Of love! In both directions.

Hope you heal up well and will soon be back to normal routines!

I told a friend, who has a lab mix - looks everything like a golden but his fur is white - about yesterday's peanut butter episode, she laughed really hard in recognition. This friend is wheelchair bound and her Sitka is a real trooper and protector out there where the coyotes roam on the remote property about twenty miles from town but he can be every bit the jerk as well.

I once had a 120 lb Dobersnot in my pack of several. Very, very sweet boy. It was funny seeing little Sheltie bossing him around. They got along very well, but by gawd, everything was going to be done according to the Sheltie princess's rules.

Nothing better than magical pup drool to heal the soul, warm the heart, and takeaway physical hurts.

Sending you and Duncan loving vibes from Ajax, Minnie, and Apollo — who’s sleeping with her head on my lap as I write this.
