Cats have very powerful hind legs that enable them to jump so high and far. I expect huge muscles around their hindquarters but not their shoulders.

And I'm assuming it has to be a male. Even male housecats are bigger in the head and shoulders if unneutered. And lions are just awe-inspiring in that regard, with their absolutely freaking HUGE skull and jaws.

"I would back up and it would creep forward, so I'd stop. Eventually it sort of crouched down, like part way," Kopestonsky told 9News, recounting the experience. "So, I start backing up down the mountain, which was really steep. And then it got up and walked toward me. At the closest point, it was eight feet away."

Kopestonsky says she isn't sure why she started singing opera, exactly, but she put her heart into it and sang "really loud." At that point, she says, "It kind of put its ears down and just kept looking at me, and it sort of backed away." https://www.huffpost.com/entry/hiker-mountain-lion-opera_n_5695886

But that would still be a win.

I cold sing Que Gelida Manina though I'm not a tenor. Or Addio dal Passato, but then he'd probably feel sorry for me.

Did you hear the Met on the radio yesterday? Beverly Sills debut there, on its 50th anniversary?

read writings of. I never got to meet her, but I did get to hear her in the Kennedy Center as part of that recital your which she completed because she was a real pro, when she was suffering so from a throat ailment that she requested o encores. At the beginning someone at the venue made the announcement, and no one ever believed it because it seemed impossible she could sing like that if she felt that bad. The one I attended she made the announcement herself - which sounded awful, though the recital sounded heavenly. But at least we respected her wishes.

The Met has a Sirius XM channel, BTW. Might be another place to look. The Marriage of Figaro broadcast will be on April 26 live.

You are fortunate. I am allergic to corn and cannot tolerate movie theaters even if they are not serving popcorn at a particular show. Like tobacco smoke, it lingers in the walls. And living on Social Security, both the live in HD and Sirius are luxuries which now is not the time to commit to. But it's not as if I'd never seen it at least. I remember many wonderful stars in all the principal roles.

Not sure I got the Col. Mustard one, though. Is it just about creating a funny first name using Dijon, or is there a more clever play on words going on? I tried pronouncing it different ways and pairing it with the last name, but nothing jumped out at me. “Dijonathan”? I mean, it could have just as easily been “DijonFred”?
