For those of you that appreciate masochism

At its finest:
I moved into the trailer I live in around Thanksgiving 2023. There's a beautiful pond behind my trailer that I've been fishing ever since.
For those of you that have seen the Grumpy Old Men movies, you'll remember Catfish Hunter, the uncatchable big fish in their lake.
Well, I have at least one, and more likely two of them in this pond. Both are huge Bass that when they leap from the water, they make a huge splash in landing.
I've seen huge Bass before and these two rival any of them, the largest one most certainly.
Anyway, it's now almost 16 months later and I keep casting for them, they keep jumping in front of me, sometimes within 50 feet and I swear, he's mocking me.
He's jumped six times in the hour I've been here today, I've caught one nice size one and one small one, but not my Catfish Hunter.
He's a sadist I tell you.
Reminds me of the old joke, Masochist says to the Sadist, beat me beat me....Sadist looks at Masochist, thinks for effect and says....no.
Catfish Hunter keeps saying no.
