"This species is parthenogenetic (all individuals are females). Therefore, unfertilized eggs begin cell division without sperm from a male. Females can lay 18 eggs, and the offspring are genetically identical to the mother."
No males involved. Slippery sisters are doing it for themselves. How has DeSantis allowed this information about self-insemination* to be disseminated on a publicly funded website?
