Int'l assembly on free media and strategy held in Vienna

Publish: 19:14, 25 Oct, 2025

Nobel Laureate in Economics, Joseph E. Stiglitz delivered his dialogue at an international assembly focused on Formulating a Work Strategy, Free Opinion, and Unsolicited Interference in Journalism.

In his address he stated about the value of public interest journalism for the benefit of healthy, democratic societies in an age of authoritarianism, disinformation and artificial intelligence.

The three-day event was held in Austrian capital Vienna from October 23 to 25, organized by the International Press Institute.

Representatives from media organizations across 100 countries participated in the dialogue.
