The White House appeared to cover up Donald Trumps cankles in an official photo from his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office on Monday.
The 79-year-old presidents swollen ankles were hard to miss as his slacks crept up his shin while sitting down with Zelensky, 47, for Russia-Ukraine peace talks.
But in a photo from the meeting posted by the White Houses X account, the angle conveniently placed Trumps cherished Air Force One model in front of his enlarged lower limbs...........................................

(1,579 posts)It's not even a prop. There's no reflection of it on the very shiny polished table. Also it's somehow slightly out of focus compared to the rest of the picture. There's no way they can say it was a coincidence that the picture was taken at that angle, because is was not even really in the photo.

(58,423 posts)Depth of field is an optical property of lenses. Bright light allows cameras to stop down and that increases the depth of field, the range in which details are sharp. It also depends on the enlargement of the image. High enlargement increases the size of the blurs.
Lower light, like indoor light, decreases depth of field because the lens has to open up.
People don't usually know about depth of field because our eyes adjust focus instantly as we move the point of central interest. But even our eye lenses behave the same. This is why we increase lighting when concentrating on detail work so that the natural depth of field increases and increases the range we can get in focus, with or without glasses.
As to a reflection, trace the rays, Luke. A model some inches above a table means that the reflection would be in front, closer to the camera, and may be close enough to be cropped out by the frame.
Haven't seen the picture and the link to MSN only shows a video, not a photo.
