Where The Hell Is Alex Acosta?
Michael Cohen
Let me ask each and every one of you something: how dumb do these people think we are? No, seriously. How stupid does the House Oversight Committee think the American public has become? Because what theyre pulling right now isnt just shameless; its insulting.
This week, in what they pitched as a bold move toward transparency and justice in the Jeffrey Epstein crimes case, Oversight Chairman James Comer and his Republican colleagues announced theyd be issuing subpoenas. Finally, right? A chance to lift the veil on one of, if not the darkest, most protected criminal operations in modern history. A glimmer of accountability for the rich and powerful who enabled, ignored, or participated in Epsteins abuse.
But then they dropped the list. Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton. James Comey. Loretta Lynch. Robert Mueller. Merrick Garland. Eric Holder. Bill Barr. Jeff Sessions. Alberto Gonzales.
Now, some of these people may have useful information. And fine; if you want to haul them in, go for it. I dont give a shit. But if youre even pretending to care about justice, theres one name that shouldve been at the very top of that list. One man who had the power, the opportunity, and the moral obligation to stop Epstein in his tracks nearly two decades agoand chose instead to let him walk.
That man is Alex Acosta. And shocker: hes nowhere to be found.
