Poll Shows Widespread Disapproval and Suspicion of Trump's Handling of Epstein Files

Seven out of ten respondents said the president is not handling the Epstein files well, while 63 percent said they believe his administration is hiding information related to the case

Among respondents who were aware of Epstein, the deceased billionaire and convicted sex offender, 63 percent agreed that the Trump administration “is hiding important information” about the case. Of those who said the administration is hiding information, a staggering 81 percent blamed Trump for it. Others in Trump’s orbit also received blame, including Attorney General Pam Bondi (59 percent), FBI Director Kash Patel (49 percent), and House Speaker Mike Johnson (47 percent). Just 16 percent blamed Democrats in Congress.

Trump isn’t helping himself either. He complained last week that Epstein “stole” one of his victims from her job at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property. And the Bureau of Prisons under Trump recently transferred Epstein’s longtime partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, to a lower-security facility after she met with Deputy U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche. Her move to a less strict prison has drawn scrutiny, considering Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking.

Tatishe Nteta, director of the UMass Poll, tells Rolling Stone, “What was once a discussion held on the fringes of American politics has in recent weeks become center stage, with stories concerning Epstein garnering immense coverage in newspapers and cable news programs. Americans have been paying attention as a whopping 96 percent of Americans have read, seen, or heard something about Jeffrey Epstein.”

He adds, “Given the widespread belief that President Trump has mishandled the release of information in this case and that the Trump administration is hiding information pertaining to the Epstein case, this controversy has the potential to do untold damage to the MAGA movement and a Republican Party already facing an uphill battle in the 2025 and 2026 midterm elections.”

They are mad because the zookeeper hasn't dropped the red-meat that has been dangled over their cage.

They still don't think he is implicated. They just think he is covering for other powerful people.

They won't even believe it if he is shown to be "on the list". He has already gaslit them into thinking that Obama/Biden modified the files.

They are convinced that they will see bunches of Democrats frog marched to the gallows so their frustrations are limited to why they haven't seen that.

Pedophilia strikes an intense emotional chord that no amount of BS will overcome, even hardened criminals with little regard for ethics or the law don't tolerate pedophiles very well.

This isn't about Democrats, Republicans or Independents, it's about pedophiles, and organized sex trafficking among the wealthiest, and most powerful people in the nation, not to mention potential National Security threats via probable extortion (s).

During traffic stop, officers fire at Edgar Welch, 2016 shooter at eatery inaccurately thought to be center of pedophile ring

The gunman involved in the 2016 “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory attack on a Washington DC pizza restaurant that was inaccurately thought to be at the center of a pedophile ring has died after being shot by police in North Carolina during a traffic stop.

In a news release issued on Thursday, North Carolina’s Kannapolis police department announced that Edgar Maddison Welch died from his wounds caused by two police officers who fired at him after he pulled out a handgun during a traffic stop on Saturday.

In 2016, Welch made headlines when he drove from his North Carolina home and stormed into the Washington DC-based Comet Ping Pong restaurant, where he fired an assault rifle inside. Although no injuries were reported, two weapons were found inside the restaurant and another one was recovered from Welch’s vehicle, police said at the time.

According to police, Welch had come to the restaurant to “self-investigate” “Pizzagate”, a baseless conspiracy theory that falsely claimed that Hillary Clinton and her campaign chief John Podesta were operating an underground child sex-trafficking ring from the restaurant’s backrooms.

I certainly agree that disgust of pedophilia does cross party lines. So I am not suggesting that they will be accepting of it.

I am just sure they will believe it no matter what the list says. They will say it is manufactured evidence from the deep state out to get him.

I participate in a sports oriented board that has a political sideline. It skews heavily conservative with the most vocal being heavily MAGA. They keep saying he isn't on the list and that he is just protecting someone else. In fact, the fact he isn't releasing the info just leads them to believe that it is an even higher level of heinous that society isn't prepared for. They seem completely to disassociate from the simplest explanation that he is protecting himself.

When pressed as to why they are so sure, the only thing they come up with is that they are absolutely positive that Biden would have released the list if he were it. They have been conditioned to believe that Democrats are so evil that whatever we do is actually somehow a sign that Trump is completely innocent
