Less than a year later, Trump has become the third consecutive Republican president to embroil the United States in a war in the Middle East, after George H.W. Bush and his son George W. Bush, both of whom were egged on by a host of neoconservative advisers. On Trump’s orders — which we believe are unconstitutional since Congress did not authorize a strike against Iran — American bombers just dropped a considerable number of ordinances on three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan.

“A U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss confidential intelligence said that multiple 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs were dropped on Fordo, and that initial damage assessments indicated that the facility had been ‘taken off the table.’ The attack was the first time the U.S. military had used the weapon in combat,” The New York Times reported. Six B‑2 bombers were reportedly used to drop the bombs.

Iranian state media claimed that each facility had already been evacuated prior to the attacks and also suggested the operation was not the total success that Trump claimed it was in an online posting revealing that the operation had taken place.
