Trump Hosts Dictator Imprisoning 179 Immigrants with No Criminal Record

It is hard to believe how little time it took for these things to occur, but this is what you get when SCOTUS makes a wannabe dictator someone who is above and beyond the reach of the law. Their immunity ruling has come back to bite them and the American people. No surprise there.

Trump has been in office for how many days? It feels like years. Make no mistake that he is creating a blueprint for an unconstitutional system that punishes all of his opponents, including American citizens. And once he deports someone to a foreign concentration camp, his position is they are as dead to rights as their due process was.

On Monday, Donald Trump is hosting El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, who is a dictator ruling his country using emergency powers and someone Trump wants to emulate. This ominous visit occurs at a time when Trump is ignoring a Supreme Court ruling that directed him to return one of the over 200 immigrants Trump illegally deported to a notorious concentration camp in El Salvador by misusing a 1798 war powers act. At least 179 of the men sent to CECOT prison on March 15th have no criminal record and were stripped of both their due process rights and human dignity. Trump has already suggested doing the same to American citizens.

The timing of this visit is as purposeful as the cruelty Trump inflicted on the migrants he deported to the concentration camp located in the country his guest runs. The message to the American people is Trump can do what he wants while he rubs his contempt for the rule of law in our faces. And Americans should be very concerned about their own constitutional rights. Trump is essentially treating those he illegally deported to the El Salvador concentration camp like they are in a legal black hole where they are dead to constitutional rights.

If Kilmar was the only victim of Trump, that would be bad enough, but he isn't. There are at least 179 men with no criminal record being held in the same concentration camp and the stories that are coming out should shock anyone with a conscience who respects the rule of law. One horror story involves a gay Venezuelan makeup artist named Andry José Hernández Romero, who was legally seeking asylum and was disappeared to the concentration camp in El Salvador before his asylum hearing. The government claimed he was a member of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua with no evidence and solely because Andry has tattoos.

"Some experts believe that Bitcoin could be one of the main topics of discussion."

"Something big is happening at the White House this Monday, April 14. President Donald Trump is set to host El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele for an official visit. Both leaders are known for supporting Bitcoin, and many are wondering—could this meeting lead to a major announcement that boosts Bitcoin’s price?"

"Is Bitcoin Part of the Agenda?...Many are also asking whether Bitcoin will be discussed. El Salvador made history by becoming the first country to make Bitcoin legal tender. According to Bitbo, the country now holds more than 6,089 Bitcoins—currently worth about $508 million."

"Trump, too, has shown growing interest in digital money and financial freedom. So it wouldn’t be surprising if Bitcoin comes up during the meeting. If it does, it could generate major buzz and possibly impact Bitcoin’s price."

"Bitcoin’s Latest Price Surge...Right now, Bitcoin is trading at around $83,340, reflecting a 1% increase over the past 24 hours. Its market cap has reached $1.65 trillion, showing just how big a role it now plays in the global economy."

"As Trump and Bukele sit down for their high-profile meeting, both the political and crypto worlds will be watching closely. This could be a key moment for U.S.–Latin American relations—and for the future of Bitcoin."

"What happens when two bold leaders with a soft spot for Bitcoin sit down at the same table? The markets—and the world—are about to find out."
