Yet they have disdain for the women who they trust to raise their children & nurture & care for their family & home. I never got that. A republican relative told me he loves women & cares for them & I said, "No. You love & care for the women you know personally, not for all women as a class. Big difference."

I remember even as a child I would hear grown men say things like “Motherhood is the most important job in the world!” and my 8 year old self would think, if it’s so important, what aren’t YOU staying home with the kids?

I’m not knocking motherhood, I was a SAHM for years raising three sons. It’s like many men think we are incapable of running things, being in charge, planning ahead, leading people, accomplishing goals. It’s so much b.s.

Colonel Meyers mistake was writing "But what I do know is the concerns of the US administration discussed by Vice-President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base." She was publicly criticizing official government policy which is something she shouldn't do.

IMO, what she should've said was something like this:

We appreciate Vice-President Vance's visit and to remind all military personnel not to make any public comments on whether they agree or disagree with Vice-President Vance's comments. As military members, we must ensure we do not comment on political issues in which the public may construe as being the policy of the Air Force or the DoD.

The military needs to be non-political and any disagreement with government policy should be kept within the branch of the military or within the DoD. As a colonel, her views should have been addressed to those higher up in her chain-of-command and not in an email to everyone on the base.
