The White House is upgrading its front door to fortify the entrance

Source: CNN

The White House is making security-focused upgrades to its front door, an official told CNN, in a project that’s expected to take months.

The changes, which sources said have long been advocated by the US Secret Service, are aimed at fortifying the White House entrance at the North Portico, which has recently been obscured by scaffolding and a tarp as workers repair the exterior columns at President Donald Trump’s request.

But unlike many of Trump’s projects around the White House — from hanging gold signage to paving the Rose Garden — the work on the front door is not cosmetic, and instead focused on enhancing its security, the White House official said.

The US Secret Service did not immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment.

to keep them from wandering outside.

Some security updates may be designed to keep him in, not just kerp intruders out.

That if some (unknown party or political entity or foreign government) decides to get you - they might not just plan to use the front door, but they also might consider the back door, or a window or two, or just possible someone in your inner circle. Remember Julius Caesar, it was his dear friends. Leaders that are all powerful as you like to equate yourself, need to fear their enemies but their friends more.

chance that a friend of TSF is doing the work then making a donation to a TSF project? Chance of a kickback? Who is reviewing the plans to evaluate if the work is done well, which hasn't happened on several projects?

Come on, man!

Mierda47 hears about Iranians wanting to assassinate him so of course he going to bunker down the main entrance to the WH when he already has a ready made bunker some 5 stories below the compound to protect him.
But lets just grift off the Main Entrance, while we can before the (D) take over congress.
