Trump's prison director fires back at outrage over luxury treatment of Epstein lackey

President Donald Trump's director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons is firing back after a Democratic lawmaker accused the administration of giving luxury treatment to Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
Maxwell, who authorities said helped run Epstein's child trafficking operation for years, was controversially moved from a facility in Florida to an amenity-filled "prison camp" in Bryan, Texas generally reserved for low-level offenders, breaking the rules that usually would prohibit sex offenders from such a facility — right around the time the administration was trying to get her testimony to turn down the temperature on public outrage over the Epstein case files.
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), the ranking member on the House Oversight Committee, broke down the apparent injustice of it all in an interview on CNN this week. "Oversight and Judiciary Dems visited Ghislaine Maxwell’s prison today, it is essentially a pristine park with fountains and ample green space," said Garcia, posting his reaction to X. "She’s the only convicted sex offender there ... this isn’t justice."
He demanded answers as to why then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, now Trump's acting attorney general and nominee for the permanent role, sent her to that facility. This comes amid separate reporting that prison staff at the Bryan facility refused to answer basic questions from lawmakers on the tour.

If convicted she should go to a state prison, not "Camp Fed". She is being pampered and not asked to testify under oath about Trump and Epstein...The stay in the Fed "Prison" with her own room and other amenities (like having a puppy) is a disgrace and cover up...May God help us all...I firmly believe Trump and other wealthy "Bros" are guilty of crimes related to trafficking and abuse of underage women and are seemingly escaping any repercussion from those crimes they committed.
She's the one who brought them in and groomed them. She created the network of teenage girls bringing in other girls to get access to money and/or promises of scholarships etc. Whether Maxwell participated in the sexual activities herself is irrelevant, but I believe she did participate. There are multiple witnesses who say that she did. She belongs in prison.
It is certainly an easier place to be than the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Tallahassee federal prison. It does have a fence but pretty much looks like the former school that it was. When I was working I used to pass it by nearly every day. I will say that the fence is different from before. It was wrought iron pickets, now more secure with mesh and razor wire. Maybe they did that to protect Ghislaine from harm
