Trump's Vance Mockery Exposed in White House Leaks

Source: Daily Beast

President Donald Trump has reportedly been busy privately venting to allies about all the things his vice president has done that suggest he might be a “disaster” as MAGA heir in 2028.

More than a dozen insiders cited by The New York Times on Saturday described a tense dynamic between Trump and JD Vance, 41, behind the scenes, with the 79-year-old president at times fixating on the perceived blunders of his vice president.

Trump is said to have compared Vance’s performance to his own in private discussions with allies, noting that the former Ohio senator had never won a difficult political race without his help. He also reportedly took issue with the number of vacations Vance has taken, and expressed doubts about his decision to send Vance to negotiations in Pakistan about ending the war in Iran.

An embarrassing incident last spring in which Vance awkwardly dropped the gold College Football Playoff National Championship trophy from his alma mater, Ohio State, is said to be a recurring theme for Trump when he privately weighs Vance’s potential for 2028.

1. Donnie won't be able to endorse anyone to replace him, as long as his dream of president for life exists.

Of course it's a fantasy, but acknowledging a "heir to the throne" would be an admission that he would be done in January 2029.
He lives to be at the top of the heap; to control the national dialog; to be the one people either love or hate.

Without power, he has no fame, no recognition, no news coverage. And, he's never going to be ready to go quietly into that night.

1st time around he supposedly wanted Christie, but jared's resentment scotched that and pence ended up with it. You could tell t really resented that. This time around, he floated the idea of ivanka as v.p. Again that was scotched, and j.d. was forced on him. Again, you can tell t is not happy about that. And j.ds main backer has fled the country, possibly leaving j.d. in the lurch.
We shall see what happens.

Trump is a gameshow host. That's all. So is Pete Hegseth and he may win because republicans love stupid.

By that time, Trump will have to decide if he will actually leave the WH voluntarily. That is not a given.

And if Trump decides he must leave, then his top priority will be to try to elect a President who will keep Trump out of jail. Because of this, I don't expect we will see any candidate run away from Trump.

I mean, what prominent Republican would NOT agree to pardon Trump for everything?

. . . for Trump to run for a third term. After all, no one is as brilliant, competent, intelligent, and loved as Donald J. Trump. Besides, when his second term ends, there will still be a lot of work to do . . . open the Strait of Hormuz; close the Strait of Hormuz; kidnap the Presidents of all South American countries; receive three Nobel Peace Prizes; build more stuff in DC; . . . . .

Right??

John Lugo and his wife, Denise Dineen, were in the crowd, wearing matching hats that said “Make America Healthy Again.” Mr. Lugo, a small-business owner, said that he saw Mr. Vance as an “extremely articulate” partner to Mr. Trump.

When asked if he thought the vice president should be the next Republican presidential nominee, Mr. Lugo kept his options open.

“Him or Rubio,” Mr. Lugo said. “Rubio would be good, too.”

When Mr. Lugo and his wife turned to face Mr. Vance as he took the stage, another name was inscribed on the back of their ball caps: “KENNEDY.”
