Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to “blow up” the country of Oman if it didn’t bow to his wishes around control of the Strait of Hormuz as the U.S. president seeks a peace agreement with Iran to re-open the strait.

Back in April, Trump mused that he ("we", but let's face it, he'd profit personally some way) had the right to charge everyone to go through the Strait.

Trump suggests US could charge toll for Strait of Hormuz passage

During a White House press conference, a reporter asked Trump whether he would end the war while Iran was continuing to charge tolls for passage through the strait.

“What about us charging tolls?” Trump responded.

“I’d rather do that than let them have them,” he added. “Why shouldn’t we? We’re the winner.”

“We won, OK? They are militarily defeated. The only thing they have is the psychology of ‘oh, we’re going to drop a couple of mines in the water,’” Trump continued. “We have a concept where we’ll charge tolls.”

Now he thinks he can bomb the sovereign nation through whose waters the navigation lane runs. if they were to think they could act like him.
