I have a cousin who was impaled by a beach umbrella at the Jersey Shore many years ago. It was caught in a wind gust and tumbled toward her, pierced and broke her collar bone and went through to her back. It miraculously missed a major artery and she is still with us today.
Sadly, this poor woman was not as lucky.

1978 to 1995, falling vending machines resulted in 37 deaths and over 113 injuries.

Mother nature shows her force sometimes. I can't imagine just being at dinner trying to relax and something like this happen. Sympathies to the woman's family and friends.
