UAW Local 699 and Nexteer reach tentative agreement, union says

SAGINAW, Mich. (WJRT) - UAW local 699’s bargaining committee announced on Sunday that a tentative agreement with Nexteer Automotive has been reached after recent contract talks.

The union said in a Facebook post that the tentative agreement was reached late Saturday evening. The bargaining committee emphasized that concerns raised by members were addressed at the bargaining table.

The announcement follows a recent union vote on Thursday, May 21, authorizing a strike if they don’t come to an agreement.

In the same Facebook message, the union said voting dates and times on the tentative agreement will be posted throughout the plants soon.
