'Keep that a secret': General jumps in to stop Trump blurting out classified intel

Source: Raw Story

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Dan Caine was forced to step in to prevent President Donald Trump from disclosing classified war plans. During a press conference about the rescue of two U.S. airmen in Iran on Monday, Trump was asked if all of his military advisers had agreed about the mission.

"No, there were military people, very professional, that preferred not doing it," the president admitted about the ultimately successful rescue attempt after two jets were shot down over Iran. "This whole thing is militarized like nobody's ever seen before. Half the people are wearing uniforms.".

"Somebody said it's the only time it's ever been done. I said, that's not possible. But it is possible. Because you're going into hundreds of thousands of soldiers along the path. I mean, look at some of the helicopters, how they got hit," he continued.

Trump moved to disclose the number of troops deployed in the rescue mission before Caine stopped him. "How many men did you send altogether? Approximately for the operation?" Trump asked the general. "I'd love to keep that a secret," Caine advised.

As a former aircrew member who's been thru all of the training, I am just in shock at all of the op sec they keep blurting out. The plans, the strategy, the things we do to get airmen off the battlefield. You don't tell the world you lied and said he was found when he wasn't. Can't ever use that tactic again. Hegseth is a complete idiot and his god crap has to go. The pilots used their skills to get themselves to safety. It wasn't god. Trump talks like he knows all about what aircrews do. He doesn't have a clue and they both need to keep their pie holes closed. Someone is going to get killed. Loose lips sink ships.

I wonder if there's more to this than has been disclosed.
Something more than just a shoot-down / rescue.
All the shot down aircraft - portable aa is relatively low-altitude only, isn't it?
And all the people and aircraft involved.
Something feels off.
