Robert P. George, McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, announced Monday that he resigned from the Heritage Foundation Board of Trustees over the conservative think tanks president, Kevin Roberts, defending Tucker Carlson for interviewing antisemitic commentator Nick Fuentes.
I have resigned from the board of the Heritage Foundation. I could not remain without a full retraction of the video released by Kevin Roberts, speaking for and in the name of Heritage, on October 30th, George posted on Facebook. Although Kevin publicly apologized for some of what he said in the video, he could not offer a full retraction of its content. So, we reached an impasse, George wrote.
Kevin is a good man. He made what he acknowledged was a serious mistake. Being human myself, I have plenty of experience in making mistakes. What divided us was a difference of opinion about what was required to rectify the mistake, George said.
A Heritage spokesman thanked George for his service to Heritage. He is a good man, and we look forward to opportunities to work together in the future, the spokesperson said. Under the leadership of Dr. Roberts, Heritage remains resolute in building an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and civil society flourish. We are strong, growing, and more determined than ever to fight for our republic.

Why bother? That is who you all are. White supremacists and antisemites implementing a system of racism/white supremacy.

And Trump said there was nothing wrong with the softball interview of the unabashed anti-Semite.

(3,042 posts)... NO ONE can be "a good man" and a member of the Heritage Foundation. They are mutually exclusive concepts.

The Heritage Foundation does not stand for any of those things.
The candidates they endorsed for, and helped get appointed to, the Supreme Court were the worst this nation has ever seen. The current court has several members that simply don't deserve to be on the court. They lack honor, honesty, integrity, and have shown themselves to be politically partisan. The SC is no longer the respected body it once was.
The court has failed the nation.
The resultant destruction of the Supreme Court has resulted in America taking a sharp right turn towards fascism. The Heritage Foundation needs to take full responsibility for what it did to America.
