US House speaker says 'nothing to hide' in Epstein files

Source: Reuters

November 16, 2025 1:54 PM EST Updated 21 mins ago

WASHINGTON, Nov 16 (Reuters) - U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson said on Sunday he believed the approaching vote on releasing Justice Department files related to Jeffrey Epstein should help put to rest allegations that President Donald Trump had any connection to the late sex offender's abuse and trafficking of underage girls.

"They're doing this to go after President Trump on this theory that he has something to do with it. He does not," Johnson, the Republican leader in the House, said on "Fox News Sunday."

"Epstein is their entire game plan, so we're going to take that weapon out of their hands," Johnson said of Democrats. "Let's just get this done and move it on. There's nothing to hide."

Although Trump and Epstein were photographed together decades ago, the president has said the two men fell out prior to Epstein's convictions. Trump has since instructed the Department of Justice to investigate prominent Democrats' ties to Epstein.

So then why did you essentially dissolve the House to keep it from doing any legislative business for 7 weeks and refused to swear in a duly-elected and certified member of Congress, who had promised to be the "218th vote" for release?

And as to this -

"Epstein is their entire game plan..."

Really? Did you forget -

They have managed to remove enough key parts of the chain of evidence that they can claim that he has almost nothing to do with the guy. They will deny anything that says otherwise, and deny anyone who comes forward. No matter what evidence we present, they will lie and their base will back them up.

Fine release them. Mike “Grindr” Johnson sure seems like a pedophile protector to me.
First thing tomorrow morning would be a good time to release them. Make sure to release
the flight logs for Trump’s plane, the flight logs for Epstein’s Lolita Express plane, the banking
records, the records of wire transfers into Epstein’s accounts, the names of all the girls that
went from Trump’s modeling try outs/beauty pageants and went onto being in Epstein’s stable of
girls, and the testimony of all the women who were victims of the Trump/Putin/Epstein international
    child sex trafficking ring.

I wonder how many girls that were caught up in the international child sex trafficking network just
    ended up missing?

And Mike Johnson called on the House Ethics Committee not to release its report on Gaetz. But I trust him at his word.

And despite paying $130K in hush money to a porn star, being found guilty of sexually assaulting a women in a 5th Ave department store, and actively campaigning for child molester Roy Moore, I suppose Trump deserves the benefit of the doubt.

"Epstein is their entire game plan, so we're going to take that weapon out of their hands," Johnson said of Democrats. "Let's just get this done and move it on. There's nothing to hide."

I guess that’s a strategy… “Let’s just reveal that the President of the United States is at the center of an international child sex ring and move on. There’s nothing to hide.”

trump is crotch-deep in Epstein's filthy operation. Johnson wouldn't have been frantically and ineffectively trying to hide things this long, if that weren't the case. Here's hoping that Johnson's political career is destroyed by his pimping for trump, like so many others.
