A good friend of mine has decided to run for office and she is a Christian--an AUTHENTIC Christian who actually practices the teaching of Christ. But she has no desire to shove her beliefs down anyone's throat. Just because a Christian runs for office doesn't mean they want to turn the nation into a "Christian" nation.

I know people can change their minds with additional knowledge, but these people have known what Trump was since 2016. They have also seen the Republican Party fall into line behind Trump, openly celebrating misogyny, homophobia, and racism. They have seen the constant lying, the sexual predations, and the greed for a decade, and they are only now deciding that they aren’t really Republican voters anymore! Methinks there may be some wolves in sheep’s clothing here.

They saw what was happening for years and did nothing. Or worse. - Participated!!! Because it served their purposes. Liberty U. theologians? Oral Roberts? Regent University? Get lost.

Imagine them determining health care laws.

They may be sincere, but I don’t care. The clergy earned my distrust. Kind of like the billionaire class.

Why do they want to be Democrats now? Do they now believe what the Democratic Party stands for or are they just looking for another way to get back in power? If they actually believed what trump was saying I say we find someone smarter and more compassionate.

But it seems like an effort to poison the Democratic Party and offset progressivism.

I believe in religious freedom. But I really don't want any of these people anywhere near government.

About one-fourth of Americans attend Christian services regularly. I am sick of this minority dominating the rest of us. Let's look for educators, scientists, union leaders, regular working people to run for these offices.

Like Maddow says, forget about what they say; watch what they do.

When one of these charlatans approaches you I would advise you to put your hand firmly over your wallet, turn, and run as fast as you can!

I even found a Red Letter Bible at a yard sale if you just read and follow those words attributed to Christ, I respect you.

While there are true people of faith, there are waaaay too many opportunists out there who are just looking for a fast buck and an easy ride. As Rachel Maddow says, "Watch what they do, NOT what they say!"

They are a different breed from those like Senator (Rev.) Raphael Warnock, who has always been on the forefront of civil rights issues and currently ministers MLK's former church.

and they can't get it back. They only want to try and 'take over' the democratic party because it's calcuably easier than starting from scratch. They aren't interested in the people or good policy, they want power back as quickly as possible.

in most of the Senators districts. I vote and support those in my district. Except for AOC and Bernie, they have my financial support. I like them very, very much. They represent my values.

I would definitely look carefully at each one. James Talarico certainly seems to be the real deal.

I wonder how these clergy feel about a women's right to choose? Met some wonderful clergy at Standing Rock, I hope these clergy are like the few I met.
