Journalist Injured in NYC After ICE Officer Threw Him Out of An Elevator Onto the Floor

Source: yahoo.com

Tue, September 30, 2025 at 2:12 PM CDT

A photojournalist was hospitalized........

Video posted by New York Daily News and taken by freelance photojournalist Stephanie Keith shows Dean Moses, a photojournalist for amNewYork, following ICE agents into an elevator in a Manhattan building. While other journalists look on, Moses is forcefully removed from the elevator after being told to get off.

“Get the f**k out of the elevator!” an agent is heard saying as Moses is removed.

As Moses was removed, freelance journalist Olga Fedorova could be seen being knocked to the ground, seemingly by an agent in all the chaos.

......................
“They pushed me off, and as another guy pulled me from behind, I hear the other [journalists] fall,” Moses told the paper. “I just heard the resounding thud as they hit the floor.”.................................

@ParnellWesley
Turkish Photojournalist Vural Elibol with Anadolu Agency was thrown to the ground by ICE agents conducting a detention in federal court. Mr Elibol was unable to move, having to be placed on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital.

No. Could you please try reading your own sources? The story clearly identifies a different journalist as being ejected from elevator.
As Moses was removed, freelance journalist Olga Fedorova could be seen being knocked to the ground, seemingly by an agent in all the chaos.
The New York Daily News, which spoke to witnesses of the event, reported that L. Vural Elibol, a photographer for Turkey’s Anadolu Agency, was also knocked back during the scuffle.

Leading off with inaccuracy - is no way to either start, or continue, a discussion or conversation surrounding an issue.
And no - later information does not cover up (or correct) for the glaring misstatement .... It's just plain wrong.

The "About Forum" section for Latest Breaking News specifically says to use the published title as the OP title.

That said, the Yahoo page linked in the OP includes stories about the incident from many sources, including Reuters, AP, The Independent, and the source chosen for this thread, Mediaite. I probably would have picked any of the other sources over Mediaite.

What's to prevent organizations, cities, and whatnot to employ their own protection crews to counter and go after ICE? One unlawful mob group shouldn't make it any more unlawful for another to counter the first one.

That's one thing that the Trump Cartel understands.

I just read an interesting book on the first black man to successfully sue a group of masked 'night-riders' who shot him, drove his wife and children off of their own land and burned their home.
He sued them for $50,000 in 1897!
That one case took the enthusiasm out of 'night-riding' in Kentucky!
If anyone is interested, the book is 'A Shot in the Moonlight'.

They are, at base, a band of heartless thugs, unable to run more than a few yard without tiring who have enough muscle to hurt people and not enough conscience to give a damn who they hurt and how badly.

The idea of ICE is to scare the public so that, with a sufficiently cowed citizenry, Miller/Trump can move more military troops into the cities and dispose of the thugs and criminals they hired to soften up the resistance. (And, yes, by "dispose of" I mean kill.)

15. Update: The ICE goon who shoved a woman to the ground has been reinstated.

"ICE officer seen pushing woman to the ground in viral clip has reportedly returned to duty...The public was told that the officer in question had been 'relieved of his duties.' Just a few days later, he was reportedly reinstated."

"The Department of Homeland Security announced on Friday that the officer in question had been relieved of his duties: 'The officer’s conduct in this video is unacceptable and beneath the men and women of ICE,' a DHS spokesperson said. 'Our ICE law enforcement are held to the highest professional standards and this officer is being relieved of current duties as we conduct a full investigation.' "

"The response offered an assurance to the public that there were still some limits on what federal agents can expect to get away with. Those assurances, however, apparently came with a short expiration date. CBS News reported:"

"An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer who was initially relieved of his duties after being captured on video pushing a woman to the ground outside an immigration court in New York City has been returned to duty, two U.S. officials familiar with the matter told CBS News. The officials, who requested anonymity to discuss an internal move that has not been publicly announced, said the ICE officer was placed back on duty after a preliminary review of the incident."

I was raised on an animal farm. I know how to do it. Most just don't want to get their hands dirty.

There is no way to heel an animal without getting your hands dirty.

No. Way.

Since they are already going to do what they did, make it count.

If they grab you, grab their mask. Expose the bastards. Then, defend yourself like someone is trying to kill you.

Because they are, even if they say they won't.
